Eden Park Announces New Partnership with Cure Kids

28 May 2024

Eden Park is thrilled to announce its partnership with Cure Kids, New Zealand’s leading child health research charity.

This will not be the first time Eden Park and Cure Kids have joined forces, with Eden Park hosting last year’s 24-Hour Challenge fundraiser and creating countless money-can’t-buy experiences for Cure Kids ambassadors. The announcement of an official partnership between the two Kiwi brands is a significant milestone in their shared journey.

“We are delighted to partner with Cure Kids, an organisation that works tirelessly to facilitate groundbreaking research in child health,” said Nick Sautner, Eden Park Chief Executive Officer.

Our stadium plays an active role in the community and this partnership highlights our commitment to supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of New Zealanders. The wellbeing of our children is fundamental to the future of our communities, and through collaboration, we aim to make a significant impact.

“At Eden Park, we believe in the power of events to bring people together and inspire positive change. This partnership allows us to leverage our platform and resources to support the valuable work of Cure Kids. We are excited about the opportunities this will bring.”

Several initiatives and events are already in the pipeline, including the 2024 Cure Kids 24-Hour Challenge with Rebel Sport. Last year’s event saw 18 teams participate and raised over $160,000, with proceeds directly supporting Cure Kids’ research initiatives.

“Eden Park has been an invaluable supporter of Cure Kids, enabling us to deliver incredible experiences and events that raise funds for child health research. We are delighted to formalise the partnership, and we are excited about the possibilities this collaboration brings and the impact we can achieve together." – Frances Soutter, Cure Kids CEO.

Mr Sautner adds “We feel privileged to host events for Cure Kids, supporting life-saving research for New Zealand children. Many of our Eden Park staff participated in last year’s 24-Hour Challenge, lacing their trainers for a good cause. We look forward to even greater involvement this year.

Eden Park’s Grand Hall will also be hosting the Cure Kids Gala Dinner in August and on July 5th, the office will be adorned with plenty of red noses in support of Cure Kids Red Nose Day.”

“Cure Kids Red Nose Day appeal and annual gala are two of our centrepiece fundraising initiatives. We are so immensely grateful the team at Eden Park will be standing alongside us. Their support not only amplifies our efforts but also reflects a shared commitment to improving the lives of children across New Zealand.” – Frances Soutter, Cure Kids CEO

Eden Park and Cure Kids are excited about this new chapter, working collaboratively to make a tangible difference in the lives of children throughout New Zealand.
