Dr. Jacelyn Loh

Dr. Jacelyn Loh is a NZ Heart Foundation senior research fellow working at the University of Auckland in the infection and immunity cluster. Dr. Loh completed her PhD in Molecular Medicine at the University of Auckland before spending several years at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Her specialty is in understanding the disease-causing bacteria, StrepA, and how to boost a person’s immune system through vaccination to fight off infections. The ultimate goal of Dr Loh and her team is to develop a vaccine that can prevent rheumatic fever.
