Dr Nigel Harris

Dr Nigel Harris conducts research on the effects of exercise on general health outcomes, with a focus on youth.

Dr Nigel Harris is a husband and father of a 14-year old girl and a 12-year old boy. He works at the Auckland University of Technology lecturing in exercise science, and conducts research on the effects of exercise on general health outcomes, with a focus on youth. He’s particularly interested in the general health effects of some shorter, potent ‘doses’ of exercise, and how these might be implemented in a practically sustainable manner.  Current projects include various forms of high intensity interval training and/or resistance training.
