Payroll Giving

Your regular, payroll giving will enable Cure Kids to continue funding high-impact medical research; helping make a significant difference to the health of Kiwi kids.

Payroll giving enables you to donate directly to Cure Kids from your pay. It is a simple, generous way to give regularly to Cure Kids, while also receiving instant tax benefits that reduce your payable PAYE.

If your donation is more than $5, you receive a third of the donation amount as an immediate tax rebate.

It’s easy too. Your employer deducts your donation from your pay, reduces your PAYE by the appropriate tax credit and then forwards the donation to Cure Kids.

How to start

Payroll Giving makes donating to Cure Kids easy, and eliminates the need to hold onto receipts each year and make rebate claims.

Speak to your Payroll Officer about making a charitable donation to Cure Kids. You have the opportunity to gift as much, or as little each time you are paid a salary or wage. You do not have to set up any automatic payments or direct debits, your payroll will look after this. You can also claim debates instantly when a donation is made, rather than waiting until the end of the tax year.

Many employers offer encouragement to their staff by matching donations, so it’s worth asking for their support.

Payroll Giving is a simple, and low cost way to support employees who make donations to Cure Kids, which can be of mutual benefit by giving back to your community. Payroll Giving is available to your employees, if you file your IRD employer monthly schedule and deduction form.

Visit the IRD’s payroll giving page or download the Payroll Giving Guide (IR617) to find out more.
