Congratulations to Professor Stephen Robertson on being awarded the Hercus Medal by Royal Society Te Apārangi.

Professor Robertson is a clinician-scientist and an international authority on genetic disorders which affect children. He has discovered the cause of more than 30 life-limiting malformations and neurocognitive disorders.

His research has improved diagnosis, treatment, and care for children in Aotearoa NZ and worldwide, including a specific emphasis for Māori children.

We are incredibly proud to be supporting Professor Robertson’s work through his position as Cure Kids Professorial Chair of Paediatric Genetics at the University of Otago since 2002.
