Justin is the director of the Brain Development and Repair Group in the Department of Physiology, Auckland University.
He is a well-established international researcher in developmental brain injury and neurophysiology. His work is noted for original discoveries into the cellular mechanisms underlying preterm brain injury and utilization of advanced imaging techniques, leading to new knowledge on the evolution and detection of preterm brain dysmaturation. His research also informs new targets for perinatal neuroprotective therapies.
