Simerdeep Dhillon is a research fellow working with Professors Laura Bennet and Alistair Gunn in the Fetal Physiology and Neuroscience group, The University of Auckland, New Zealand
She completed her PhD in 2020. Her research interest is to understand the mechanisms of preterm brain injury and hypoxia-ischaemia and inflammation and use this information to develop and refine neuroprotective strategies. Her focus at present is on clinically available treatments that would be most easily translatable.
