Briscoe Group recently held their annual in-store Add What You Can Campaign and raised over $330,000!
Over the five week campaign staff in Briscoes, Rebel Sport and Living & Giving stores asked their customers to add a donation to their purchase for Cure Kids. They also got in behind the campaign themselves by holding sausage sizzles, garage sales, quiz nights, auctioning off memorabilia and donating products, and most importantly – they had lots of fun fundraising and shared the success with their customers.
This campaign was extra special in that $100,000 of the funds raised were allocated to our recent Fight Against Superbugs campaign.
To show their support, Briscoe Group held their first ever “Super Hero Saturday”. Staff from Briscoe Group Support Office and stores across the country dressed up as their favourite superheroes to help raise funds and awareness for Cure Kids. We had everything from Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Batman, Popeye, Power Puff Girls and many more, all in aid of fighting superbugs.
We are thrilled to announce that this campaign has helped Briscoe Group hit a massive milestone in their support of Cure Kids. They are one of Cure Kids biggest funding partners and have raised over $6 million since the partnership began in 2004. The staff engagement and passion they have for helping Cure Kids is incredible and is the key to their success.
“The response has been phenomenal. It’s a cause that matters to so many people and we’re proud to be helping make this important research possible. Cure Kids and the health and wellbeing of New Zealand children are firmly part of our company culture at all levels of the business” Rod Duke, Briscoe Group Managing Director.
Briscoe Group will also be raising funds in-store for Red Nose Day in August/September and for their 12 Days of Christmas campaign in December.
